This Privacy Policy explains how Mythgate handles information when you use SimplySit: Meditation Timer, referred to here as “SimplySit” or “the app.”
Information that stays on your device
SimplySit stores the following information locally on your iPhone so the app can provide its core features:
- completed sit dates, durations, and timer details;
- optional before and after Feeling check-ins;
- history and streak information derived from completed sits;
- marker, interval, Layer, reminder, theme, and other app settings; and
- earned theme progress.
This practice data is not sent to Mythgate, RevenueCat, or an analytics provider. The local app store is excluded from iCloud backup. SimplySit does not offer account-based cloud sync.
Subscription information
SimplySit uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to offer and manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier and purchase or subscription events. This allows the app to confirm access, show the correct offering, support purchase restoration, and understand purchase performance.
RevenueCat does not receive your sits, Feelings, streaks, timer choices, markers, Layers, reminders, or other practice content. Mythgate does not send your email address or a named account identifier to RevenueCat.
Information we do not collect
SimplySit does not collect:
- your sit or Feeling content;
- precise or approximate location;
- contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or health records;
- advertising identifiers; or
- data used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
SimplySit has no advertising SDK and does not sell personal information.
Reminders
If you enable a daily reminder, SimplySit schedules it locally through iOS. Mythgate does not operate a remote notification service for these reminders.
Support communications and this website
If you email support, Mythgate receives the email address, message, and any details you choose to include. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain a record of the support request when reasonably necessary. Do not send payment-card details or sensitive health information.
This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics scripts. Its hosting infrastructure may process basic connection information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
How information is used
Local practice information is used only on your iPhone to run the timer, preserve your choices, show history, calculate streaks and Rest Days, and reveal earned themes. Anonymous purchase information is used to provide subscription access, restore purchases, resolve purchase problems, and evaluate subscription performance.
Sharing and service providers
Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. RevenueCat acts as a subscription infrastructure provider. Mythgate does not share practice data with either provider because that data never leaves your iPhone through SimplySit.
We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect legal rights. Because SimplySit does not maintain a practice-data server, Mythgate generally does not possess your sits or Feelings to disclose.
Retention and deletion
Your local practice data remains on your iPhone until you delete the app. Deleting SimplySit removes its local sits, Feelings, history, and settings. It does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase records as required to provide subscription access, transaction history, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance. SimplySit has no server-side practice account for you to delete.
Support email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain support history, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Security
Keeping practice data on your iPhone limits how much information leaves the device. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so keep your device and Apple ID protected with the security features Apple provides.
Children’s privacy
SimplySit is not directed to children under 13, and Mythgate does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
International use
Apple and RevenueCat may process subscription information in countries other than the one where you live. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy terms and applicable data-protection safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its subscription providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
